Mecha Break Codes And Twitch Drops July 2025

Mecha Break is the mecha shooter game by Kingsoft subsidiary Amazing Seasun Games. After initially being announced at The Game Awards 2023, the third-person shooter is finally in beta and open to the public, with Mecha Break cross-play enabled so you can play with your friends no matter the platform. While there have been Mecha Break codes available throughout the demo periods, we’ve got all you need to know on codes for the full release.

You’ll take on the role of a mech pilot dealing with the fallout of a dystopian catastrophe in the year 2082, which led to an energy crisis on earth. You’ll deal with polluted areas known as Fading Zones, where only mechs can operate. Throughout these zones, mech pilots need to clear the pollution.

Working in teams, you’ll blast through different game modes. There are several different mech roles to take on: Attacker, Defender, Supporter, Brawler, and Sniper. Of course, the inclusion of Mecha Break codes is invaluable in a free-to-play game, so we’ve got all of them listed here, as well as how to find more codes, and other free rewards including free Corite and more.

All new Mecha Break codes

There are not currently any active Mecha Break codes. As the game is only just launching to the public, we expect this to change soon and will update this guide as soon as codes become available.

During the demo in February 2025, Mecha Break players could receive rewards for a daily check-in in the official Discord server for the game. Though this has now ended, we wouldn’t be surprised if Amazing Seasun has a launch rewards campaign coming, so we’ll have all the details if that happens.

How to redeem Mecha Break codes

Copy your code from the list above, and then enter the game. Open the menu by pressing Escape on your keyboard, and you’ll see a “Redeem Gift” option. Open this menu, paste your code, and confirm.

Then, in the bottom-left corner, open up the mail section. The mail will be titled “Your gift code has been redeemed.” Open this to collect the corresponding rewards for the code you’ve redeemed. You can then return to the exit menu to enter more codes, or continue playing the game with your new freebies.

Mecha Break Twitch Drops

There are multiple Twitch drops campaigns running throughout the first month of Mecha Break’s release. To earn these rewards, all you need to do is watch your favorite creators streaming the game on Twitch.

The Season 0 Mecha Break Twitch Drops are live until Sunday, July 31 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST.

Mecha Break Twitch Drops

  • Wireless Headset 2 ear accessory – Watch 30 minutes

  • Cybernetic Tail waist accessory – Watch 180 minutes

With more than 300,000 concurrent players at one stage during the demo, Mecha Break has outperformed even Marvel Rivals already. We’re sure Amazing Seasun will be adding plenty of rewards and free Mecha Break codes as a thank-you for your loyalty, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly.

This Live-Action Donkey Kong Bananza Trailer Is Bananas

Barely a month after the launch of Switch 2, Nintendo is set to release the console’s next big game, Donkey Kong Bananza, in just a few weeks. It’s also the first new game in the franchise since 2014’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Regardless, there’s a little too much pent-up excitement for DK’s comeback in the new live-action trailer for Donkey Kong Bananza.

YouTube user MikeyOrlando6665 summed it up pretty well in the top comment on the video: “Thank you for telling me this trailer wasn’t representative of the gameplay experience. I totally thought I’d have to play DK in front of a large crowd of people chanting DK instead of my usual gameplay experience of sitting alone in my basement in my underwear crying.”

Most of the footage features the game’s 3D platforming experience, but it also showcases a side-scrolling sequence that serves as a callback to the original Donkey Kong Country from 1994. Donkey Kong creator Shigeru Miyamoto recently explained why Bananza ditched DK’s long-standing Donkey Kong Country design in favor of a more contemporary look.

In GameSpot’s hands-on impression of Donkey Kong Bananza, it was called “the next evolution of [Super Mario Odyssey’s] ideas,” while noting that it is “full of playful new mechanics and ideas.” Ahead of the game’s release, older Donkey Kong games have been discounted.

Donkey Kong Bananza will launch on July 17 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

Borderlands 4 Introduces Its Best Feature Yet: A Claptrap Volume Slider

Borderlands 4 will feature several improvements to the core gameplay of the series, but for longtime fans looking for a certain audio quality-of-life update, it looks like their prayers are being answered. Series mascot Claptrap has always been a bit of a chatterbox, but at long last, you’ll be able to shut him up.

As revealed by Borderlands 4 narrative director Sam Winkler in a livestream (via Chadly99 on X), you’ll be able to adjust a specially designated “Claptrap volume” slider in the game menu, rendering the motor-mouthed service droid mute. Only monsters would do that, however, and real fans will probably want to increase the volume to 200%.

“I wrote some lines just for this feature, and it includes maybe the dumbest, most niche reference to a certain terrible accent in a certain classic immersive sim,” Winkler teased, suggesting that it might be worth ignoring that audio option. At least, for the first playthrough of the game.

Claptrap has been around since the very beginning of Borderlands, appearing in every single entry in the series to date. The little robot is actually the last of his kind, as Handsome Jack eliminated the entire Claptrap product line at the end of The Claptastic Voyage in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Claptrap was left for dead, but the sinister subroutine in his mind, Shadowtrap, sacrificed itself to resurrect the little fellow. He was later found and repaired by Sir Hammerlock prior to the events of Borderlands 2–much to the everlasting regret of the hunter.

In other Borderlands 4 news, more details on the “seamless world” that players will explore in the game have been revealed. While Borderlands 3 featured several planets–and lengthy loading screens between each one–the world of Kairos is designed to be one massive sandbox full of mystery, danger, and loot. A new story trailer for the game also teased the threat of the Timekeeper and his cronies, and for fans of buildcrafting, Borderlands 4 is going to offer a lot of options for developing a Vault Hunter that suits your specific playstyle.

Borderlands 4 launches on September 12 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it’ll be coming to Switch 2 in the future.

Borderlands 4’s New Planet Features One Huge Improvement Over Borderlands 3

It’s been nearly six years since Borderlands 3 debuted during the previous console generation. This fall, Borderlands 4 is taking advantage of the power of the current consoles by thrusting players into a large “seamless world” that doesn’t need many loading screens during the long hours it will take to explore it all. That’s a major improvement over Borderlands 3’s Pandora, which had enough loading screens to test the players’ patience.

While speaking with Game Informer, senior project producer Anthony Nicholson noted that the Borderlands 4 team didn’t initially set out to make Kairos an open-world environment. However, the power of Unreal Engine 5 “gave us other advantages to be able to do things and kind of went into being able to make a seamless world and things of that nature.”

World-building director Jason Reiss added that there are “a lot more 360 combat areas where players can enter into spaces from any direction, including from the air–and we have to account for that now with all these crazy movement abilities. It’s been all about, ‘Let’s create a large, dynamic, awesome place where players can feel like badasses.'”

In this expanded world, enemies can be spotted from further away, and they aren’t just waiting around to fight players. Instead, an effort was made to make the enemies “be alive and doing things from… far away, where they need to look like they’re naturally a part of their environment whenever you’re looking at them through your scope from a mile away,” said lead game designer Josh Jeffcoat.

One of the side missions will involve players helping Claptrap recover some of his mementos from previous adventures, while others will vary between story-based missions to specific activities related to Kairos’ various regions.

Gearbox recently debuted a new story trailer that put the spotlight on the game’s villain, the Timekeeper. The Borderlands 4 team also revealed that there are more skills per-character than the last two main games combined. In part because of the sheer amount of new content in the game, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has warned that it may be several years before Borderlands 4 has a significant drop in price.

Borderlands 4 will hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 12. It will also be released on Switch 2 at a later date.

Summer Games Done Quick 2025: How To Watch SGDQ And Schedule

It’s almost the first weekend in July, and as has now become tradition, this marks the start of another week-long speedrunning marathon in the form of Summer Games Done Quick. There are plenty of exciting runs on the table, all in the name of charity, so here’s how to watch it, and some highlights we’ve found in the schedule.

How to watch Summer Games Done Quick 2025

SGDQ, which is livestreamed 24 hours a day on the GDQ Twitch channel, will be hosted in Minneapolis. While you can watch live at any point through the marathon, the GDQ Youtube channel will regularly upload each run shortly after its completion, for any that you might miss.

Summer Games Done Quick will start on July 6 at 8:30AM PT / 11:30AM CT / 12:30PM ET, and kicks off with the pre-show, which introduces the event, its goals, and highlights prizes and incentives for viewers.

The week-long event showcases high-level gameplay across a variety of genres, with the speedrunning goal of doing everything really, really fast being the focus throughout each run. The biannual event raises money for Doctors Without Borders, also known as Médecins Sans Frontières, or MSF. To date, GDQ has raised more than $50 million for MSF and the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which is the beneficiary of its fundraising efforts from the winter edition of its speedrunning marathon, Awesome Games Done Quick.

Summer Games Done Quick schedule highlights

SGDQ 2025 runs continuously from July 6-13, with a packed-out schedule of speedruns taking place consecutively with a short break in between. There’s a mix of in-person and remote runs, and familiar “blocks” of games, including the horror block, silly games block, and Mario block all making a return.

The full schedule is available on the Games Done Quick website, but we’ve listed a few runs we’re particularly looking forward to alongside their start date and time. Note that these times are subject to change, and probably will alter slightly depending on delays and longer runs than estimated, but the GDQ website will have them constantly updated. It also lists times in your timezone, so you don’t need to start calculating time differences.

For the first time in recent history, GDQ appears to have allowed the inclusion of recently released games. These “mystery games” were revealed recently. Previously, GDQ insisted upon games released at least a specific number of months prior to run submissions opening, meaning that especially new games were not eligible for inclusion. Since Mario Kart World appears as one of these mystery games, it appears the submission eligibility criteria has changed for the better.

The Alters Dev Releases Statement After Accusations Of Undisclosed AI Use

The Alters developer 11 Bit Studios has found itself in hot water after players discovered evidence of generative AI in the game. The studio has now released a statement to explain why AI chatbot prompts can be found in multiple parts of the introspective survival game.

After The Alters was released in mid-June, screenshots started to emerge on social media showing evidence that certain content had been generated by AI chatbots–despite the game lacking the AI disclosure that Steam now requires from developers.

One Reddit user shared an image of an in-game data screen where the text appears to have an AI prompt included, reading: “Sure, here’s a revised version focusing purely on scientific and astronomical data.” Another player posted a more egregious example where the chatbot prompt agreeing to translate text to Brazilian Portugese was left visible in the subtitles.

Eurogamer reports that errors were present in subtitles in other languages too, all appearing in the same section of the game. Handong Ryu, who was responsible for the majority of the game’s Korean translation, said that “the same section of the Korean localisation shows clear signs of having been run through an LLM without proper editing,” and that it was “a part of the game I had no control over.”

11 Bit Studios has now posted a statement on Bluesky explaining how the sloppy AI inclusions made it into the final game, alongside a screenshot showing exactly where the AI-influenced asset can be found.

The AI-generated translations, it says, were because that section of the game was added late in the development process. “A few licensed movies that the alters can watch in the social area of the base were added at the final stage of development,” the statement reads. “While those were externally produced, our team was not involved in the creative process, and these required additional last-minute translations. Due to extreme time constraints, we chose not to involve our translation partners and had these videos localized using AI to have them ready on launch.”

“The alternative was to release those specific dialogues in English only, which we believed would be a worse experience for non-English-speakers,” the statement continues. “In hindsight, we acknowledge this was the wrong call. Even more so, no matter what we decided, we should have simply let you know.”

11 Bit says both instances are being rectified now, and that the intention was always to replace the AI-generated translations in a post-launch localization hotfix.

Despite 11 Bit’s admission that it used AI in the development process, The Alters’ Steam page still appears to be lacking the AI disclosure required by Valve.

Incredible Sonic The Hedgehog Rubber Duck Plushies Hit New Low Prices

Sonic the Hedgehog fans can save on two of the cutest and silliest collectibles featuring Sega’s iconic mascot and his archenemy Doctor Eggman. Amazon has the Sonic the Hedgehog Rubber Duck Plush discounted to a new all-time low of $18.60 (was $25). Meanwhile, Doctor Eggman’s Rubber Duck Plush is up for grabs for $21.10 (was $25), which is also the best price yet for this arguably zanier plushie.

Check out both Sonic characters and more popular heroes and villains as rubber duck plushies below.

Collectible company Tubbz has made a name for itself with its zany lineup of vinyl rubber ducks featuring characters like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Jack Torrance (with an axe) from The Shining, Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs, multiple Mortal Kombat fighters, and even Solaire of Astora from Dark Souls, who is, of course, praising the sun.

And yes, Tubbz also has rubber duck vinyl figures of numerous Sonic the Hedgehog characters, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy Rose, and more.

Batman | Gandalf | Joker

There aren’t nearly as many plushies as vinyl figures in the Tubbz collection, but there are a bunch of cool ones outside of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Sticking with video game-themed plushies, Destiny fans can pick from a few different characters, including Cayde-6 and Zavala. After selling out earlier this year, Vault Boy from Fallout is back in stock at Amazon.

Amazon also recently started selling plushie versions of Gandalf the Grey and Frodo from Lord of the Rings as well as Batman from The Dark Knight. The Batman plush is on the verge of selling out, though, so fans should snag it while they can. You can display the Caped Crusader next to the Joker Rubber Duck Plush based on the villain’s appearance in The Dark Knight.

Horror fans can get creepy/adorable duck plushie spins on Chucky from Child’s Play and Pennywise from Stephen King’s It. Chucky is on sale for only $15, while Pennywise is a few bucks off. Pennywise is holding his signature red balloon, but even if he keeps telling you that “we all float down here,” you should know that Tubbz plushies are not designed to be brought in the bathtub.

We’ve put together a list of the Tubbz Rubber Duck Plushies we found on Amazon. Several of the characters below have received limited-time discounts similar to Doctor Eggman, including the turtle duck from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Death Stranding 2 Could Be Causing Some PS5s To Overheat

There are a lot of things for players to find in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, but a few fans have already discovered an issue that appears to be overheating some PlayStation 5 consoles.

Players on Reddit (via Push Square) have shared multiple accounts of Death Stranding 2 apparently causing PlayStation 5s to overheat when the map menu is called up on-screen. Fans have reported that the map causes the PS5 fan to loudly go into overdrive before they receive an overheating warning from the console itself.

The working theory among players is that the map menu is running with an unlocked frame rate, which may be causing the PS5’s overheating issue. So far, no one has reported the same issue on PS5 Pro, but at least one user shared a video on YouTube that demonstrates the map menu’s effect on their PS5 multiple times. Presumably this issue can be addressed in an update from Kojima Productions once it becomes aware of the problem.

Terraria King Slime Boss Guide – How To Summon, Beat, and Drops

King Slime might not rule over much, but they’re royalty nonetheless, as they’re the first boss most players encounter in Terraria and the one most likely to squash you when you least expect it. Big, blue, and bouncy, this gelatinous monarch is the perfect entry point for testing your mettle, dropping some handy loot and setting the tone for boss battles to come.

Unlike the more dramatic foes lurking deeper in Terraria’s layers, King Slime is pretty casual about the way in which it appears, showing up if you poke it the right way or sometimes just crashing the party on its own. Although entirely optional, defeating it is often the first step towards serious progression, unlocking early mobility options and giving newer players a clear combat checkpoint. Here’s how to summon and beat King Slime in Terraria.

How to prepare for King Slime

While King Slime isn’t exactly Moon Lord material, it still pays to come prepared. The first Terraria boss might be a glorified blue blob, but it’s one that teleports, spawns minions, and can flatten you like a professional pancake chef if you’re caught off guard.

Assassin’s Creed Voice Actor Hints At A Potential Black Flag Remake

Rumors about a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag have been circulating since 2023, but they’re picking up momentum in 2025. Ubisoft has yet to officially announce Black Flag’s return to modern consoles and PC, but voice actor Matt Ryan recently hinted that a remake is on the way.

On social media, an X user going by @TheRealZephryss shared a video from @SuperDropKick17 that features Ryan signing autographs at a convention. Ryan–who voiced Black Flag’s leading character, Edward Kenway–was asked if he had beaten the game and he affirmed that he had. Ryan then noted that he may need to beat the game again. “There’s a reason I say that, but I can’t say anything,” added Ryan.

Earlier this month, a report put the spotlight on a live-stream from Pure Arts–the company behind PVC statues of Assassin’s Creed characters–that addressed Edward’s absence from the statue line. The hosts appeared to be confused about whether a Black Flag remake was announced, but went on to say that “there’s going to be something going on with Edward, and our PVC ⅛ scale statue will reflect that accordingly.”
